Your digital ID gives you a safe and convenient way to prove who you are to businesses and individuals. It’s been approved by the UK Government for proof of identity and age (except for alcohol).

Your details are safe
Add details to your Yoti by scanning a government-approved ID document. We accept passports, driving licences, PASS cards and national ID cards from 200+ countries.
Any details you add to your Yoti are encrypted into unreadable data that only you can unlock. The private encryption key to your data is stored safely on your phone – only you can activate this key and access your details using your PIN, Face ID or Touch ID.
Protecting your privacy
We cannot share your details without your permission or mine or sell your data to third parties.
We encourage businesses to only ask for the details they need, so when you choose to share your details with a business using Yoti, you can feel safe sharing less data.

I've been using Yoti for a while, it's always been great. Then I got a new phone, tried to log in, clicked restore, clicked on my Google account, then got denied because Yoti had reached it's limit for accessing Google Drive? Now I am stuck! I'll be trying a different app because I've got no other choice and I can't sign up for a new account because there's no option too unless a website has directed you?

This app barely works. I can't get the scanner to actually scan a QR code. When I scan that code with Google Lens instead and click on the link, the app opens up and then gives me an error when I try to submit the information. Not much use for a digital ID app that refuses to do the one thing I need it to do.

Absolute waste of time! Nothing worked to verify my age. The built in video app would not playback the video it recorded for them to review. Due to this issue, nothing else would work because it kept saying my video was rejected because it could not be played. Even if I tap on other ways to verify like ID or photo it still cam back to a screen that said my video was rejected and try again. I tried 5 times and each time it was rejected due to being unplayable.

** update ** now 3 star I have been able to progress further by uninstaling and restarting the account recovery. I will update further as I progress with the full setup. I do think there are issues with the video upload, though. varied issues / responses 1. could not verify you are human 2. could not / unable to read the video 3. unable to upload video don't bother. no matter how many times you attempt to submit, it keeps coming back. You are not a real person , really poor app.

This is one of those apps were if I could rate it a 0, I absolutely would. I am going through absolute hell just to get access to my trust fund. It will not let me confirm my identity and there is no one you can call. They have an email helpline but whoever is sending out these emails is useless. They told me to try again with the same number. I am going to lose my mind 🙃

Although unsure of its full purpose... I can see the benefit of going through a standardised (and rigorous) identification verification process. Once this has been set up, further tasks that require a high level of vetting should become straightforward. Additionally, I like the idea of meeting strangers for the first time and being able to use the Yoti ID card to verify the individual you are meeting! I am assuming you (and they) will have a phone!
