The ads have gotten progressively more intrusive over the years. This app has always been the best at what it does, but blaring an ad in your face every single time you close a template is a lot. Then they ask for a yearly subscription to remove them instead of a one time purchase. And conveniently have split their meme makers into a suite of 7 apps that, you guessed it, all are their own subscriptions. That's what really drives home just how downhill this has gone. Used to be great.

I don't mind advertising. Meme generator allows aggressive advertising. They asked me if I want a product and if I don't answer yes the app is locked. I hit the back button to no avail. edit - I had complained about adult content, in advertising, but It was properly addressed so I removed it. I also added a star because I found another meme generator that was way worse, haha!

I do have some feedback I believe that would improve the experience. - I have a lot of custom stickers saved. So it can get quite tedious trying to find the one I want to use. So may I suggest an option to sort them in a file in the app, so I can organize them in separate categories? - When making a comic/multi-panel meme. I suggest an option to duplicate the same picture you want to use for each panel. Rather than having to manually select the same picture in my gallery for each panel.

It works exactly as described here, so far, for over 5 years without fail. What is not mentioned here is that you can add a virtually unlimited number of your own .ttf fonts. Its not real easy, but it does work and instead of having only the 60 fonts it came with I now have over 1000, in Cyrillic, Hebrew, Greek and other alphabets in addition to the Roman alphabet variations. My second favorite graphics app!

I really like this app. It's free and comes with ads, but the ads aren't very intrusive or annoying, which is good. I get that devs need money too, so I'm totally fine with this app containing some because they don't ruin the experience. Also it doesn't watermark your memes. It does have some premium features that are behind a pay wall, but all of the important stuff is still free, so I can make most memes I come up with despite using the free version. 5 stars, would recommend.

I've been using this for years. I just updated the library so I thought I'd add some context to my 5* review. I appreciate your commitment to keeping the library up to date. I usually use my own images but the the cache has pics both fresh and dank. The editing controls are pretty intuitive. My only criticism is the text input line, rather than editing in the text box itself. You packed a lot of functionality into 3 menus. The only other thing I can think of is to add more fonts. 2 thumbs up
